I'd like to do something like: 
($mon, $tue, $wed, $thu, $fri, $sat, $sun) = split (/ /);
$alldays = lc($mon $tue $wed $thu $fri $sat $sun);
print "$alldays\n";

but it doesn't work. How can I change multiple strings to lower case at once?
