You probably want HTML::Parser's alternative interface -> HTML::TokeParser. I posted a TokeParser example that strips headings out of a doc at Re: Regular Expression Help which can easily be adapted to do what you want. You can also look at Tutorials where there is an HTML::TokeParser tutorial by crazyinsomniac.
