Over the years, I've written CPAN modules that I would now like eradicated. The
modules are either not useful, been re-written under a different namespace and/
or should just free up the name.
I've read up on as many docs that I can, but can't find a definitive source
on how to permanently delete and free a CPAN slot.
Is there a way for an author to do this?
To further, say I want to change the name of one of my current modules from
a plural form to a singular form... I can take over the new namespace, but it isn't clear whether I can eliminate the space I've vacated (which is why I won't do it yet).
I can reach out to individuals, but I thought I'd ask here first, a) for future knowledge for anyone who searches, and b) to build an understanding of CPAN knowledgable folk.
