I would like to use the new(ish) functionality of MariaDB that allows at rest encryption. My limited understanding is that you provide certain credentials (keyfile) at login then all existing calls to the database work without modification, but the entire database itself is encrypted, and fairly useless, if the system is compromised. I have not been able to find a Perl connection process that utilizes this functionality. Does anyone have a way to do this?
