According to the 'Changes' file there was only one version before 1.00 - namely version 0.01 (and it apparently wouldn't even work on perl-5.6).
No sign of it but ....

UPDATE: Actually, I think 1.00 might be exactly the same as 0.01. (At least this is what the Readme suggests.)
And the Changes file that ships with 1.03 acknowledges the existence of a version 0.01, but not 1.00.
