It’s fun but it’s complete nonsense. The salaries, as averages, are too high by far. Consider, for them to be accurate the job boards would have to be full of $275,000 PHP jobs to counter the raft of $20/hr jobs you actually see there. That and nearly no one puts the salary on job listings when it gets to the $100K range because it’s “based on experience” at that point and two devs in the same office with the same title might have $50K disparity in salary. Ah… I remember the day an HR rep at Amazon left a sheet on the printer with everyone’s salaries and stock options in a department listed. Good times.
