Hi Alexander,
That's an interesting set-up; do I understand correctly you have two microcontrollers? I imagine that kind of a set-up should help a lot with stability (UI could crash without affecting the main uC) and timing (the main uC can do some real-time functions and at the same time you don't have to bother with setting up a real-time Linux kernel on the UI system).
