Reading this tutorial (Perl DBI - Put Your Data On The Web) and (Introduction to retrieving data from your database - Perl DBI/DBD::ODBC Tutorial Part 2) would be a good start.

Seeking for Perl wisdom...on the process of learning...not there...yet!
