I'm happy to say that my efforts yesterday and today have moved things along nicely.

Despite the bad literature, I managed to find some sites with comments about what REALLY needed to be done! Hurrah!
Plus I managed to guess some solutions that I never would have solved without having been a mod_perl 1 user for years.

I do have to say that most, but not all, error_log messages are pretty useless (I was running under debug level).

I believe that I will have something to move up to my production server before too long.

But I'm still interested in any good literature/sites that have Apache 2.4 and mod_perl 2 info. More towards the larger picture rather than just a list of commands.
