so i made a little modification

my $col = $db->get_collection('counters'); $col->update_one({'_id' => 'comm-id'},{ '$inc' => { 'seq' => 1}}); my $id = $col->find_one({'_id' => 'comm-id'})->{'seq'};

so now it is working.
