You're probably out of luck. If you'd abstracted widget creation you could change what types of widget you're creating, but short of that you're probably in for a complete rewrite. If you have access to a copy, section 2.6 of Design Patterns gives an example of using the Bridge pattern to support different windowing toolkits.
