If I may be utterly frank:   “more than forty years ago, I learned (the very-hard way ...) not to rely upon anyone, other than myself, for any sort of “job security.”   I very quickly realized that I was faced with a cut-throat labor market that did not give a tinker’s dam who did the work, nor where that person lived, as long as that person “somehow survived a race to the bottom.”

Since then, I have also been forced to realize that you just might get fired for no more good reason than “you might cause the company’s insurance premiums to go up.”

Nevertheless:   “in the very town in which you now live, there is someone who desperately Needs A Fuller Brush.™”

Never mimd(!) the “Monsters,” nor any other Labor Broker who is perfectly willing to sponsor yet-another H-1B (or “fill in the blank”) non-immigrant visa-holder ... in order to add your name to a list of hundreds of others, just hoping that (any) one of them will stick ...

Re-discover:   Your Town.”   Who, within your own city, doesn’t want to bother with “the usual suspects” to fill their requisition?   Why should they choose to buy from you?   Why are you the least risky decision?   And, so on ...
