I am trying to write my first piece of Perl code and I am stuck with this since a few days. I am trying to access a url for which I first need to submit my siteid, username and password on http://mi.compustat.com. The siteid and username are stored as cookie. I various combinations but nothing seems to be working. HELP PLEASE, THIS IS URGENT. This code prints the source code of the page that is reached if one tries to access the secure page without first loggin in to the above website.
#!/usr/bin/perl use strict; use LWP::Simple; use LWP::UserAgent; use HTTP::Request; my $agent= new LWP::UserAgent; my $url = "http://mi.compustat.com"; my $request1 = new HTTP::Request("GET", $url); $request1 -> authorization_basic('username', 'password'); my $url1 = "http://mi.compustat.com/.........."; $request1 = new HTTP::Request("GET", $url1); my $response = $agent -> request($request1); if($response->is_success) { print ($response -> content); print "url found"; } else { print "url not found"; }
Thanks a lot.
