how can i solve it that the processes are not blocking?

See IO::Socket::SSL GTk2 server and multiple clients and it's use of the great great module IO:Socket::Timeout. I'm not sure exactly how to apply it in your Parallel case, but's quite easy to use. You just set a timeout value.
