I don't know if you recall or not but bladx developed some icons for PM. Some links are here (composite gif) from his home node, here (html page) from his node Perlmonks Icons Pack 2 Out Now! and here (tar/gz) from his node PerlMonk Icon 12-pack finished!.

I'm sure he spent a good deal of time on these and it would be nice to see that work rewarded. Of course should you decide to use one or more, you should get an approval from bladx (though I suspect he won't have a problem with it since it will benefit the Monastery).
