No problems with the refresh here - Firefox 58.0.2 on Linux.

The refresh is done using <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="24" /> so if you've disabled that globally in your browser then that would explain things. You could check accessibility.blockautorefresh (should be false) and browser.meta_refresh_when_inactive.disabled which is also false for me.
