Last Week, John M. Dlugosz posted this node about merchandise ideas.

In it, Hubris Boy talked about habits. Well, I dropped a note to the company linked to, and they replied. Trouble was, this was only after the node had disappeared from immediate view for most people.

So I thought I'd post their reply here and ask the following:

I'm happy to liaise with Dina on this if I can just get some feedback from people as to what the demand really is (if any).
Dear Perl Monks,

One of your members wrote to tell me that our monk's habits had been
mentioned as an addition to the Monastery Gift Shop. The original
mention had mused about embroidered logos and quantity discounts.

We would be happy to discuss adding embroidered patches to our robes
for you as well as a discount for a larger order. I would also suggest
that we could make robes for you in fleece, which is
machine washable and very, very cuddly ;) As for a logo - the image
I get is of a pearl perched on an open book with an outline of a hood
around both items. Or not - just an idea.

My suggestion is something simple, such as

perlmonks.com
on the back near the top in the middle, and:
#!/usr/bin/perl -w
use strict;
on the front, both in courier with text about 1/2 inch high

thoughts please...

ps - don't take her logo idea the wrong way - i think she has very little idea what we're about :)
