This code does not work..

alarm 2;
$SIG{ALRM} = \&Finish;
while (1==1){};

sub Finish { print "Timeout reached"; }

[download]

BUT... This code works... and after 2 seconds, the program dies... 

alarm 2;
$SIG{ALRM} = \&Finish;
while (1==1){};

sub Finish { die; }

[download]

So something happens with print...
