I was able to get the output shown at the top of the linked page by making these changes to line 17:

# push @d, map("$_$b", qw/♣ ♦ ♥ ♠/);    # original
  push @d, map("$b$_", qw/C D H S/);    # new
#               ^^^^      ^ ^ ^ ^
