But it doesn't show up under replies.
IMHO that's new behaviour...

And click on "in reply to"
Possible reasons:
- It was reaped in the meantime.
- the new patch to hide bad posts

at the time of posting this, neither the Reaped Node nor it's placeholder were under -5 rep.
