Those running interference should have at least considered the possibility that my criticism of the first post re undef, might be valid. Instead they believed the post I first criticised and moved the exit after the if block that separates child from parent. You've all been so busy focusing on the undef that you messed up the basic functionality. One post even inserts code after the misplaced exit that can't even execute therefore.

I do not tolerate the ebony tower of inappropriate focus and technical sloppiness that seems to have prospered here. And with my warnings about the behaviour being ignored, I see no alternative other than to cease posting on this site.

Update: Fortunately one of the gods has suggested an alternative treatment. See my scratchpad for details.
