Here's a recent song by the Dave Matthews Band (both of which I like) in Perl. It compiles and runs, of course. Don't use anything silly like -w or strict, though. I enjoyed translating this song.
END { exit } you !~ /hope/ for me; me > $_ for corners; $^T = 'Infinity'; more: $laughter = $tears{me} - $tears{you} and goto more; $lies{wicked}{me} - $lies{wicked}{you}, eval { grep !$_->{pain}, @us }, $holders{you}{me}...??; rand, @%, %*, rand, $}, /Will it rain today?/; talk and talk for hours; tr/a-z/b-za/ for grep $_->{playing}, @games; @us = grep $_->{warringheart}, @a::allies; $us[YOU], wild-eyed-beast...??; $lies{wicked}{me} - $lies{wicked}{you}, eval { grep !$_->{pain}, @us }, $holders{you}{me}...??; grep $_->{me}, values %holders...??; print map "$_\r", grep $rollercoaster{$_}, qw(/ | \ -); went_off: $us[YOU], like => grep $crowded && $_ eq devil, @church; $love, eval { hope while $ship != down }; $location{$us[ME]} = $place{you}{smile} - $place{you}{hide} if $us[ME]-get-to-go; $hiding{$us[ME]} = $bullet{mine} - $bullet{yours}, wait for you; grep($_->{falling}, @rain) => splash-in-your-heart, ran, /sadness/i for @window; $lies{wicked}{me} - $lies{wicked}{you}, eval { grep !$_->{pain}, @us }, $us[YOU] = my($hand), goto out_of_here; oh, right; out_of_here: reset 'a-zA-Z'; $love = 1; $location{me}{hiding} = $wrong - $right, wait for you; $_ = time for @_[$heart{yours} .. $heart{mine}]; ?? - ??;
