I'm in search of an authoritative or a least semi-authoritative style guide for perldocs. perlpodstyle doesn't go into much detail. For example, it doesn't mention the common practice for indicating that square brackets are used to indicate that an argument to a method is optional. Anything out there like that?
$PM = "Perl Monk's";
$MCF = "Most Clueless Friar Abbot Bishop Pontiff Deacon Curate Priest Vicar";
$nysus = $PM . ' ' . $MCF;
