If you were writing a script that ICQ'd someone very occasionally, I guess you could get away with a client that just logs in, sends and quits, but if you want to parse and deal with replies, you need to be running the client full time. My problem is i don't know how to pipe requests to and from this running client. Perhaps this is a new post
