How can I delete all the values in an array that have a duplicate value i.e. eliminate the duplicate value(s), and the original, keeping only the values that appeare once in the array ?

for example, if my array contains the following:

A1, B2, C3, C3, D4

I would want the resulting array to contain this:

A1, B2, D4

Any insight would be greatly appreciated
