Thanks to BillG all windows machines are servers by default. Don't believe me?
Right click on a directory in explorer, and go to Sharing.
Viola!
Your humble desktop can shares files. And guess what it already is by default. C$, D$ shares etc.
Now I most certainly play MP3's on my Server/Desktop so I guess it's a valid use of a server.

P.S. Just to add further we have a Linux box downstairs (computer room) running icecast, so we can all listen to toonz.
This is most certainly a server it's not doing anything flash but does run counterstrike for internal use :)
