The is plenty of windoze ressources to create a favicon.ico. I want to do that under linux. Apparently one step is missing from linux tools: converting a bitmap to the icon form. This page provides a tool but a windoze one.

Any documentation pointer about the icon format; or, better, a perl script that does the job is welcome.
