I posted a previous meditation asking how you decide if you will use
a particular CPAN module or not. Now I am meditating on finding the right module on CPAN.
Today I came across a post from last month about someone wanting to create an HTML
mail for a mailing list. MIME::Lite would have made the process much easier IMHO, but was not mentioned in any of the replies. Now to my point in all of this.
Is there a tool to help people find the right module on CPAN other then a text search? What I am thinking is
a related concepts engine that will generate a see also. So if someone typed in 'email' in the search box at the bottom
of the results would be 'MIME', 'POP3' , 'IMAP' etc. I know someone would have to create the relationships, but it
seems like it would make a nice tool.
But alas, this would still require them to not suffer from cpanphobia.
