By default, replies are sorted from first posted to last posted. There is a box you can check in your User Settings to have them sorted from highest reputation to lowest reputation.

I looked at the thread you referenced, and the nodes appear to me to be in the right order. The earlier nodes have lower node ids and earlier times.
