Was fortunate enough to catch Mr Conway's "Extreme Perl" aka "SelfGol" talk at TPC last year. If it's the same talk, you're in for a treat. Buggered if I understood much of it though. I've actually got the code on my cubie wall at work. What can I say, it's a goal - the day I understand the SelfGol code is the day I can honestly say I really grok Perl :-)
