I used this LITTLE snippet to bump a person's counter up 10,000 spots over night. You may say that he could have done that manually – which he could have but it was the outcome of a disagreement and it fit the fight perfectly. It is made for Unix although you could make it work with LWP::Simple pretty easily, I just didn't want to since I use OS X and didn't need to :)
