If there were a magic module that you had to use, the documentation probably would point it out.
And it says right on the label it may not work. It doesn't say that it only won't work for deep wizardry, it says that it flat out may not work. If you perhaps had given error messages or the code you're trying to compile, someone might could give more details what's causing the problems.
Keep in mind perldoc -q "compile my Perl":
In general, the compiler will do nothing to make a Perl program smaller, faster, more portable, or more secure.
