Assuming Perl5 behaved like Java does and Perl6 apparently will, it would have made sense to have a way to force them to. Of course in the context of knowing that objects do get collected as soon as possible, it doesn't make sense. I was assuming the former, so it does make sense; which doesn't change the fact that it's wrong, after all.
Somehow this reminds me of Lewis Carrol..If it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.____________
