Firstly, I don't see how my implementation is broken in any way.

Secondly, your implementation is broken: It doesn't accept $_ by default. Try; 
sub println {
    local $\ = "\n";
    print @_;
}

@arr = qw(some list items);

for(@arr){
    println;
}

Update: It's not run under strict or warnings, it's a module, it does it's own thing. Please leave me alone. My code works, I like it. Stop trying to tell me it doesn't.
