I'm in the process of doing some major changes to a few sysadmin scripts here at work. They're all written by me, a few years ago. It's so rewarding to see how far I've come in the world of Perl programming. "Oh no, I used FOUR lines to do that silly thing?! I do it one line now.", and stuff like "Eh, what? No -w? No 'use strict'?". If I put -w and 'use strict' in, I'd probably not be able to see any other output but warnings and errors.
On the other hand, I see things everyday that I didn't know about. There is CERTAINLY more than one way to do it! And even though I use Perl everyday, it feels like I'm barely scratching the surface.
Anyway, I'm rambling.. It's getting late!
