hello , do you see the problem in the following

i have this with in my script: 

 chdir 'x:';
`updquery -sdate 26-june-2002.02:00:00 -edate 02-july-2002.00:00:00 -b
+rtype golden -status closed`

when I run it , it complains that it can't find another perl script in drive x but if I go to to drive x and excute this : updquery -sdate 26-june-2002.02:00:00 -edate 02-july-2002.00:00:00 -brtype golden -status closed it works fine :(
