Here is a decent solution: 

#!/usr/bin/perl -w

foreach (@ARGV){ 
       $name = $_ ;
       $name =~ s/T/B/;
       rename($_, $name);
       print "$_ renamed to $name\n";
 }

Usage: changename.pl T*
