Hey guys , do you see a problem in this code :

my $ret = GetOptions( "u|updated:s");
my $update = $opt_u || die "Usage: $0 -u update_ID\n";
[download]

when I use strict , it gives me :

Global symbol "$opt_u" requires explicit package name at c:/Perl/MyScr
+ipts/updlnt.pl line 27.
[download]

but without strict , it works fine .. thanks for help
