I have this little query script and it's very very slow!
Is there a mistake or is there a better way to make the searching faster?

chomp(@id);
while($data = <DB>) {
  chomp($data);  
  foreach $id (@id) {
    if ($data =~ /$id/) {

    }
  }
}
