I'd rather see an option so that the person whom considered the node could un-consider it. A variant on that theme would be to only allow them to un-consider it if it has no votes.

This would make the people who don't like the "Are you sure" approach happy. It would also make it possible for people who are quick on the trigger (admitedly, that has been me a few times) to fix their mistake without bugging other people or wasting their time.
