I thought I would ask Sys Admin mag direct to clarify what was happening with The Perl Journal. I think their reply says it all really :)

Dear Clive Holloway, We appreciate your inquiry and welcome the opportunity to serve your n +eeds. Yes, the pearl journal will not be part of the SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION +after teh DEC-02 issue. If we can be of further assistance, please let us know.

Good job the articles are better written :)

But, on a more serious note, I have explicitly told them that I am not renewing my subscription because the Journal is going.

Sorry merlyn, but although some of the articles in sys admin are interesting, they don't satiate my intellectual curiosity as well as the pure Perl articles did (or perhaps I'm just not in the real world often enough to appreciate them :). I also feel that they have not treated the TPJ readers they brought on board that well, so I'm making a small stand here.

cLive ;-)

PS - knowing me though, I'll end up re-subscribing a few months later when I realise some of the articles I've missed - but it's the principle goddam it! LoL :)
