I've never done this on my resume, but I've sent people to the PM site for examples of my code. I have even sent people to specific nodes on this site for my favorite comments and favorite bits of code. When I apply for part- time projects, I generally always give PM as a reference in my emails so prospective employers can get examples of my work.
Addendum:
Just so you know, I'm one of the lucky few who have never, never sent out a printed copy of my resume with a printed cover letter. I have always used electronic communication to talk to my prospective employers and I've never had someone complain about it. I love being a techie.
