There was a discussion on that topic recently.
IMO the replies to polls are much more interesting than the statistics. Often people make up alternative answers in their replies, or weird interpretations of given answers. This has lead me to a (possibly stupid) idea:
What about being able to post electable answers? Posted answers might be deleted if they get no votes within a day. That would increase the variety of choices and be more fun. Any ideas about that?
