I registered yesterday, and since I hate giving out my email address (especially my work address), I left the email field blank.

I was allowed to register, but I wasn't able to log in because my password was sent to the Bit Void. Also, when I attempted to register with a valid email address, I wasn't able to use my first userid choice because it was already registered.

The registration script should probably check that something is entered in the email address field (it could even check if the @ is somewhere in the middle.)

Anywho, I'm glad to be here. Perl Monks are cool!
