This just Works For MeTM, although I recognise the agony when accidentally trying to upgrade one of those core modules on a platform with an older Perl installed (this will pull the newer Perl source tarball and start installing right away...)perl -MCPAN -eshell
One more disadvantage is that I tend to miss the generally very well written example scripts that come with many modules. These end up somewhere below /root/.cpan/places-I-never-look
Have to look into CPANPLUS yet!
