Anyhoo, not all browsers (notably, IE) support CSS2's [attribute="value"]-style selector, so in my user settings I use ...

#approval_nodelet input { background: #cc9999; }
#approval_nodelet td    { background: #ffeeee; }

... to similar effect, but with greater browser support.
