Looking at the offering plate, it struck me that i would be much more inclined to donate if the offering plate were a little more like this:

• Not link to 'some' other domain (Yet Another Society). There is no mention of perlmonks.org on the offering page.
• Make donations more direct. Maybe a little like this:

Help perlmonks.org to buy a new webserver we desperately need.

What it costs	$ 1234,-
What we received so far	$ 678,-
What is left	$ 556,-
What you donate	$ (    ),-
