I wonder how come that no one didn't tell yet anything about SQL :)
Whatever wizardry module you would use when confronting yourself with a DBMS, my opinion is that you still need some exposure to SQL.

++ I subscribe to C - this language still is the mother of us all :) Of course, in an environment where speed and memory footprint are not important, you will hardly need C knowledge... but a time will come when... ;-)
