I believe that everyone has a wish list for future versions of Perl, if not Perl 6.0, and I have mine too. One of my top wishes is that, I wish Perl to support the concept of interface just like those typical OO languages do.

There are couple of things in my mind, that I wish them to be defined as basic interfaces comes with Perl:

• An interface defines multi-thread support should come with Perl, for example, UNIVERSAL::threads, and also a default implementation being provided, might be UNIVERSAL::threads::default. Instead of the current pragmas of threads and threads::shared. This provides a standard way to support multi-thread in your classes.
• An interface defines tie should come with Perl, might be named as UNIVERSAL::tie, and a unified lock strategy being defined. I also wish a record-level lock being implemented for tie, which will make tie more database alike.
