The problem lies in fact with HTML.
Constructs like <FORM> and siblings do not promote logic-presentation divorce, quite the contrary, in fact.
I also tend to be more than a little scared of the DHTML thingy, as it always end up eating into the application logic and to generate templates that, unless handled gingerly, have the capability of breaking the entire application.
